The Jungle Gym

Published

on

Evidently, I wasn’t too happy to be left there that day and decided to get even with her. When I was about two or three, my mother dropped me off at nursery school. A little while later, one of the teachers said I pilka nozna climbed to the top of the 6′ jungle gym and decided to camp out there for the day.

Now that I’ve been to the doctor and gotten that taken care of (bruised rotator cuff in case you’re interested), I finally made it to the gym today. I haven’t been feeling well for a week or two now-I did something to my arm falling off of a horse and for several days it hurt so badly that my appetite was affected. It feels great to finally get back to the gym after a hiatus and I’m so glad I finally forced myself to go today.

worked out on all the regular machines and then swam in the pool. I feel whipped but to me that at least means i feel like I truely did something. Went back to the gym again after yesterdays killer work and manage to bike 9 total miles in 32 minutes. I increased the weight on a few machines and I feel worse than road kill if you can imagine that. yesturday I swam 10 laps without stopping and today I moved it to 20.

We really dont have the space, but this is a friend i need so it something my wife and I are going to have to talk about. I am within 70 points of my next 25. We may have a new house guest for a few weeks. I still have to get another one within the next two weeks to make sure I make enough to make my monthly payment. In other news, my attempt to keep paying my gym payment is almost on track. Well that about sums it up so all thats left to say is have a good week folks.

I just refused to come down until my mother came to pick me up. They couldn’t get me to come down and Mom said it wasn’t because I was afraid to come down. I guess I was a pretty determined kid and when my mother finally showed up, there I was, still at the top of the jungle gym.

Have a great week folks! I got the above clip art from website and is used via permission of the website. The quote however is mine and was added by me. Everything else i want to stay the same for the time being.

Its a box with a screw off lid that a small tube drops into. Tonight, my gym partner and I were at his gym, and the Steam room was out of eucalyptus. First off its not hard. “Ok so can you call them? ” I am told they don’t have anyone on duty. ” They tell me someone from maintenance has to do it. So I went upstairs to ask them to put a new box in. ” since it isn’t brain surgery. The tube delivers the eucalyptus into the steam that is pushed into the steam room. they then respond with “well were out of eucalyptus. I then ask “Can I can change it? ” Grrr Full fledged lying to my face or too lazy to check since I had checked myself and saw two unopened boxes in the storage room. So I ask, “Can one of you guys change the eucalyptus?

My body is soooo sore! We spent several hours there and while we took it easy on alot of stuff, we spent quite a while in the pool swimming laps and today my body feels it. It is amazing what a two week break will make your body say when you go back. I went back to the gym yesterday for the first time in two weeks. Russ and I are going back this evening to further attempt to get back in the swing of things.

I am almost to the point of telling them I am going back to my old gym and to take a flying leap. I pay twice as much to go to this gym as I did the last one i went to and with the many people they have as members (at any given time up till 10:00 pm there is at least 100 people working out. ) They don’t seem to spend anything to keep the equipment up.

I took the weekend off from going to the actual gym, but did get a bit of a walk in today. It was an absolutely beautiful fall day and I’m hoping there are a couple more days like this in the wings before it starts freezing. I got in 3 miles of walking today and am up to 130 miles total towards my goal of 250 for the year. My boyfriend and I went to Willamsburg, Va and walked around so I could take pictures. I’ll need to step it up(literally) this week so I can make it to my goal by the end of the year. Considering I just started on August 1st, I’m over halfway but still have a ways to go.

After that it was onto a few chest, back, and arm machines. Anything lower and its too light. Follow that up with some situps, free weight curls and back to the *groan* bike for another 12 minutes on the bike. I cant figure out why but I can do so much better the second time on the bike in a shorter amount of time.

I go to the gym at least Monday through Friday and most of the time either on Saturday or Sunday. Now I can understand things being broken. In the last last 5 going on 6 weeks something has been broken, turned off, or out nearly every time I go to one of two gyms in my area owned by the same company. What I cant tolerate is rudeness by the very people that are paid from my monthly dues.

Porter’s new loyalty program promises to match Air Canada’s Aeroplan status

Published

on

Porter Airlines is once again stirring the pot among Canadian airline rivals, now going after Air Canada’s Aeroplan members by offering to match their loyalty status to an equivalent of their own.

The beloved airline, which recently ranked as having the best cabin service in North America, challenged the competition for the second time this year, after previously deploying a similar tactic against WestJet in the spring.

Earlier in April, Porter presented customers with a limited-time offer to match the loyalty status of WestJet’s patrons with VIPorter levels.

Now, they’re offering Aeroplan members to seamlessly transition to an equivalent VIPorter Avid Traveller status based on their existing membership tier.

Members can then take advantage of an array of travel perks that come with flying Porter, including seat selection, baggage, and flight changes.

For those currently holding an Aeroplan membership, there are two ways to acquire the Avid Traveller status for the rest of 2023:

Status-Based Match:
  • Aeroplan 25K members = VIPorter Venture
  • Aeroplan 35K members = VIPorter Ascent
  • Aeroplan 50K, 75K, and Super Elite = VIPorter First
Flight Segments-Based Match:
  • 5 flight segments = VIPorter Passport
  • 8 segments = VIPorter Venture
  • 17 segments = VIPorter Ascent
  • 28 or more segments = VIPorter First

Members will have to first submit their applications on Porter’s website. Registration will remain open until September 6, 2023.

In order to maintain their membership level through 2024, customers will have until the end of 2023 to reach the following reduced qualifying spend (QS) targets:

  • Passport = $500 in QS
  • Venture = $750 in QS
  • Ascent = $1500 in QS
  • First = $2500 in QS

Over the past year, Porter has launched an aggressive expansion strategy, including everything from introducing longer flights on newly-purchased jet planes flying out of Toronto Pearson, free WiFi, and a new all-inclusive economy experience.

With Canadians losing both Swoop and Sunwing as WestJet incorporates both into their mainline business, Porter’s direct competition is welcome to keep prices competitive.
